Spanish Tutoring: Spanish Tutoring is available each week to help any World Language student improve and enhance their Spanish language skills.  Sponsored by Mrs. Berlage and meets Thursdays, after school 3:10-4:10

Fitness ClubFitness club designed to promote physical fitness and Mental health by exercising and learning about the human body. Sponsored by Coach Biles and meets Tuesday/Thursday 3:15pm to 4:15pm

Art Club: Inspire creativity. Create a place to culture the sense of belonging. Sponsored by Mrs. Ting and meets Every Thursday 3:05-4:05pm

NJHS - The National Junior Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1929. Sponsored by Mrs. Ochoa, Ms. Bazuin and Mrs. Banks once a month, usually 7:30 on the first Wednesday.

Drama Club - Drama club will have a say in budget, events, activities, and planning for theatre events at KMS. Sponsored by Mrs. Passmonick each Wednesday from 7:30-8:15 in L104

Dual Language Tutoring - This tutoring focus on helping Dual Language students in understanding and learning subjects’ material in SLA and I&S in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Sponsored by Mrs. Umbarila Tuesdays, after school 3:10 - 4:10

Fashion and Costume Design - Open to all students interested in costume & fashion design, sewing, upcycling, and hair & make up design. Students will learn and discuss the elements of fashion & costume design, the history of fashion, basic concepts of costume/clothing construction, basic sewing skills, and stage makeup & hair design. Sponsored by Meghann Powell and Mrs. Passmonick each Friday from 7:30-8:15 in L104

Student Council - Students will use a civic mind and process. We will vote to create spirit weeks, fundraisers, campus culture initiatives and student-desired activities. Sponsored by Mrs. Gomez Every second Thursday AM 7:15-7:50AM

Orchestra and MariachiClub for KMS students interested in instrumental music. Students enrolled in orchestra or mariachi class, and students not enrolled in orchestra or mariachi class are welcome to join. Instrument is required. Instrumentation: Orchestra - Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass Mariachi: Violin, Trumpet, Guitarron, Vihuela, Guitar. Sponsored by Mr. Contreras Tuesdays 3:05 - 4:05 PM

Photography Club - Join the Photography Club where students will photograph after school events on campus throughout the school year. Club members will learn the fundamentals of photography, including using the camera, composition, and lighting techniques. Photography provides a unique outlet for creative expression, allowing students to explore different perspectives, capture unique moments, and develop their artistic vision. We will also bring in teaching artists to inform and train the students on photography as a skill and a profession. Meetings will be scheduled based on events on campus.. Sponsored by Mrs. Bowen TBD

Basketball ClubThe KMS Basketball Club is a program designed for students in grades 6-8 who are passionate about basketball, and plan on trying out and/or playing for the KMS team this year. Our club focuses on developing fundamental skills such as dribbling, shooting, and teamwork through engaging practices, friendly competitions, and scrimmages. The club will meet every Wednesday morning from 7:15 till 8:00 AM in the KMS gym. Sponsored by Coach Ulm Wednesdays 7:15-8:00 AM KMS Gym

Wind EnsembleStudents in this group must have at least a year of experience on their band instrument and have talked with Ms. Ryan about placement in the group. Wind Ensemble will learn and perform advanced band repertoire and participate in KMS band concerts, school pep assemblies, the International Festival, and in additional community performances with surrounding high schools. Members of the group are expected to attend every rehearsal and be prepared on the music, and any absences must be reported to Ms. Ryan as quickly as possible to ensure that rehearsal has the best attendance possible. Sponsored by Ms. Ryan Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:15- 8:00 AM

Chess Club - Join KMS' fun, friendly, low-stress Chess Club! Perfect for students who are new to the game, or more advanced students who just want a place to play other classmates. Learn the basics of chess, practice simple strategies, and play with friends in a relaxed and supportive environment. Whether you've never played before or just want to try out new chess moves, this club is a great way to sharpen your mind, build confidence, and have a great time after school. No experience needed-- just bring your curiosity and a love for games!. Sponsored by Ms. Adams Tuesdays 3:05 to 4:05 PM

Nihon Club - Nihon Club is a fun and engaging space where students explore Japanese culture, language, and daily life! Club members will learn about a typical day for a Japanese middle schooler, pick up some basic Japanese, and discuss their favorite anime and manga. We'll also dive into Japanese music, food, and traditions, giving students a well-rounded appreciation of Japan. Whether they love anime or just want to learn more about this fascinating country, Nihon Club is the perfect place to explore and connect! Tuesdays 3:15-4:15 G202. Sponsored by Mrs. Carrillo
