Jessica McIntyre

Hi friends! My name is Jessica McIntyre, I am excited to be one of your Academic and Behavior Specialists and the 6^th grade administrator this year! I began teaching with Kyrene School District and with Kyrene Middle School in 2017. During my time here at KMS I have had the pleasure of working with students in resource and co-taught classes. I mainly worked in the Math department but shared a few Language Arts classes as well. I am also a tutor in Guadalupe and work closely with our PYT students 😊 Prior to my arrival here at KMS, I worked in higher education at a university.

Like Ms. Ochoa, I am an Arizona native and grew up in the East Valley and graduated from Gilbert High School. I then went on to earn my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Special Education. I come from a family of Arizona public school educators, my grandparents taught middle school and high school in the small mining town of Morenci, Arizona. 

I am married and I have 2 boys who went to KMS and graduated from Corona Del Sol!! My husband Mr. McIntyre is an Individual’s and Societies teacher at Kyrene Traditional Academy. My oldest son is a United States Enlisted Sailor as a submariner and my youngest son is in school for fire science at Mesa Community College.  I also have a bonus daughter who is in college deciding between nursing or education! I guess you can say that we are carrying on a tradition of family educators 😊 I also have 4 sweet dogs, Stella, GiGi, The Dude and Wrecks and when I am not here at school, I am usually at the dog park or hanging out with my family.

I look forward to another great school year and to seeing new and familiar faces around campus!
