International Baccalaureate (IB) School

IB Middle Years Programme

As an authorized IB world school, teachers use IB methodologies: Learner Profile, Approaches to Learning and Global Contexts. Students will also participate in comprehensive projects that are integrated across curricular areas of study and involve real-world learning experience for our students.

An IB program aims to develop internationally-minded learners, working within a global context and explores significant content. An IB program has a strong world language component which would provide our dual-language students with an option to continue their focus into middle school.

The learner profile for IB is the IB mission statement translated into a set of learning outcomes for the 21st century.

IB learners strive to be:

• Inquirers
• Knowledgeable
• Thinkers
• Communicators
• Principled
• Open-minded
• Caring
• Risk-takers
• Balanced
• Reflective
